Welcome to the K-8 program!

Thank you for looking into our K-8 (Elementary & Middle School) program. We would love to partner with you in creating a strong educational and spiritual foundation for your child. In this packet, you will find everything you need to begin your child’s early journey to becoming a TPCA Knight.

Our History

Turning Point Christian Academy was officially opened on November 6, 2006, as a ministry of Turning Point at Calvary. The school was led by Mrs. Carole Felten (director) and two staff members, 1 teacher, and 1 aide. The school consisted of one preschool class of three and four year olds, and an afterschool program.

The school quickly grew and had an open enrollment of approximately 150 preschool students for the 2007/2008 school year. The school also opened an elementary department with a kindergarten class. The 2008/2009 school year extended to grade 3 with 29 students total enrolled in elementary and Mrs. Lynne Gregory as the school principal. Each year God has grown the school in students and grades and we now serve children from 3 years old to 8th grade. We pray that God will continue to pour out His abundant blessings as we humbly serve Him.

Faith & Education

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION - Bible is taught each day. In addition to the formal Bible class that teaches basic knowledge of both the Old and New Testament, TPCA uses a Christ-centered curriculum that has a Biblical worldview. Any secular materials used are taught through a Biblical filter. All students participate in a weekly chapel service to encourage corporate worship and grow in the knowledge of God’s Word.

STAFF - TPCA complies with all of the standards put forth by the state of Florida. Its operation is governed by the pastor of Turning Point at Calvary, a business administrator, a superintendent, and a paid administrator. All teachers in the preschool program have level 2 background screenings and the necessary credentials to teach in the particular class.

Turning Point Christian Academy, established on November 6, 2006, is an accredited, participating member of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
